Waiting Hai trailer: Divyenndu, Bhuvan Arora lead a railway ticket scam drama

The trailer for Waiting Hai, an upcoming scam dramedy set around India’s railway ticketing system, was unveiled today, September 10. The series stars Divyenndu Sharma and Bhuvan Arora in the lead roles and follows a Railway Police officer investigating a large-scale Tatkal ticketing racket.Directed by Sameer Vidwans, Waiting Hai is set in Patna and centres on Sugam Mishra, played by Divyenndu, a newly appointed Railway Police officer who is keen to prove himself. His routine changes when he begins noticing unusual patterns in the booking of Tatkal tickets.Bhuvan Arora plays Afroz Hamsa, a computer expert who develops software capable of helping users book confirmed Tatkal tickets. According to the show's story, Hamsa initially creates the software for personal reasons, hoping to impress a girl. However, after the plan goes wrong, his uncle sees a business opportunity in the technology.What begins as a small operation gradually develops into a wider network of ticket agents operating across the country. The trailer shows Hamsa and his associates trying to stay ahead of the authorities, while Sugam attempts to understand how the system is being manipulated. The trailer also introduces Sugam's personal life, including his relationship with his wife Princy, played by Harshita Gaur. While struggling to establish himself in his new job, Sugam faces pressure at home and from his superiors. His investigation into the ticketing network gives him an opportunity to take on a case that appears to be much larger than he initially expected. The story focusses on the contrast between Hamsa's knowledge of technology and Sugam's efforts to track down the people behind the operation. The trailer raises questions about how the network works, how the agents avoid detection and who is ultimately controlling the racket.The series also features Kumud Mishra, Vijay Maurya, Sunita Rajwar and Yashpal Sharma in key roles. Shreyas Jain has written the series, while Jyoti Deshpande and Ajay Rai have produced it.Speaking about his character, Divyenndu described Sugam as a police officer who is still finding his feet professionally while adjusting to married life. He said the character's everyday struggles were one of the aspects that attracted him to the role.Arora said he was interested in Hamsa because of the character's conflict between having good intentions and becoming involved in wrongdoing.
