Wagamama is coming to UK motorway service stations for the first time – as new locations revealed

WAGAMAMA has revealed it’s opening in UK service stations for the first time, marking a “significant milestone” Savills has confirmed the two new locations as the restaurant continues to expand across the country. Three new locations will see Wagamama restaurants in the coming months Credit: Alamy The restaurant chain will be opening restaurants at Beaconsfield Services (M40 J2) and Cobham Services (M25 J9/10) in the coming months. Both branches have been agreed with TRGC on 15-year terms for units of approximately 2,500 sq ft. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! According to the restaurant, they hope to bring its Asian-inspired menu to millions of motorists and passengers each year to match growing demand for more dining options on the go. Jonathan Knight, CEO of TRGC, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be bringing wagamama to motorway services for the first time, marking another important milestone in our long-standing partnership with the brand. “As we prepare for next chapter with Areas, we’re looking forward to building on that momentum and continuing to grow wagamama across UK travel hubs, bringing high-quality, experience-led dining concepts to travellers, wherever their journey takes them.” In addition to this move, there are plans to open a Wagamama at Birmingham Airport later this summer. The announcement follows the recent launch of wagamama ‘on the move’ at Heathrow Terminal 5.
