VW Transporter Sportline is a versatile & easy to drive van that’s cheaper than top-spec Transits… it’s as good as a GTI

THIS is the GTI of Volkswagen vans.  Red signature stripe.  Body kit.  Eibach lowered suspension.  19in alloys.  Matrix LED headlights.  Stitched seats.  But VW call it Transporter Sportline. Not GTI.  Maybe it’s because this top-spec van is specially made for the UK and doesn’t have a power boost.  But I’d still call it GTI.  The obvious comparison is the rally-inspired MS-RT Ford Transit Custom.
