Vu launches new Glo Mini-LED TV in India: Price, features and more

Vu has launched the Glo Mini-LED TV in India in four screen sizes. The set brings together AI-led picture processing, 120Hz gaming support and a photo frame mode.Features QD Mini-LED panel with AI picture enhancement and 600 nits HDR. The new television combines a QD Mini-LED panel with AI-based image processing, a 50W audio setup and features aimed at gamers and OTT viewers.The Glo Mini-LED starts at Rs 42,500 and will be sold in 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch variants. It will be available from August 7 through Amazon and Vu's retail network across the country.QD MINI-LED DISPLAY AND AI PROCESSINGThe biggest highlight of the new TV is its QD Mini-LED panel, paired with Full Array Local Dimming. The technology divides the backlight into independently controlled zones, allowing the TV to adjust brightness across different parts of the screen. This is intended to improve contrast, particularly between dark and bright areas. The television can reach up to 600 nits of HDR brightness and supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10.Vu has also equipped the TV with its VuON AI Processor. It uses a set of AI-based features to process and enhance the picture, including AI Picture Quality, AI Colour Enhancement, AI Contrast Optimisation and AI Upscaling. The company says the processing is not limited to 4K content and can also be used to improve the appearance of cable TV, regional channels and compressed streaming content.The TV has 2 GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, along with G52 HDR Graphics.120 HZ REFRESH RATE AND OTHER GAMING FEATURESThe Glo Mini-LED also comes with several features aimed at gaming. It has a 120Hz High-Speed Refresh rate and supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and a dedicated Game Mode.On the audio front, Vu has fitted the television with a 50W 2.2-channel VuFX system. It consists of dual speakers and two dedicated woofers. Dolby Atmos is supported, along with Dialogue Enhancer and Surround Mode.The television runs on Google TV and offers access to personalised recommendations and streaming services. Users can also control the TV using voice commands. It supports Chromecast, Apple AirPlay and Apple HomeKit, and comes with two Bluetooth-enabled voice remotes.PHOTO FRAME FEATURE AND DESIGNVu has also added a feature aimed at making the TV part of the home when it is not being used for watching content. The Personalised Photo Frame feature lets users send photographs from their smartphones to the television and use the screen to display family pictures or artwork.Different frame styles can also be selected to customise the look.In terms of design, the TV has slim bezels on three sides and uses a single-wire installation. Vu has opted for a minimalist industrial design intended to blend with contemporary living spaces.For connectivity, the television supports dual-band Wi-Fi and two-way Bluetooth. There are three HDMI ports and two USB ports.Commenting on the launch, Devita Saraf, Chairperson and CEO of Vu Televisions, said that the Glo Mini-LED is designed to bring picture quality, AI processing, sound and design together in one television.VU GLO MINI-LED: PRICE AND AVAILABILITY IN INDIAThe new Vu Glo Mini-LED television is available in four screen sizes in India.The 43-inch variant is priced at Rs 42,500, while the 50-inch model costs Rs 47,200.
