Mahindra is preparing a major product offensive in India, with five new launches planned by the end of June 2027. The upcoming portfolio will span multiple segments, including an electric SUV, a new sub-4-metre SUV, a lifestyle pickup truck and a light commercial vehicle, alongside an update to an existing model. While Mahindra has not revealed the identities of all five products, these could include the production-spec versions of the Vision S and BE 07 concepts, as well as the confirmed Scorpio Lifestyler pickup. The launches will also mark the introduction of the brand's new NU_IQ architecture in a production model and further expand its electric vehicle portfolio.Scorpio Lifestyler to arrive firstAmong the five upcoming products, the Scorpio Lifestyler is expected to be the first to reach showrooms, with its launch scheduled by April 2027. The lifestyle pickup draws inspiration from the Global Pik Up concept showcased in 2023 and was subsequently unveiled in August 2026.Built on the same body-on-frame architecture as the Scorpio N, the pickup will have a starting price below Rs 19.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Powertrain options could be borrowed from its SUV sibling, including the 175bhp 2.2-litre diesel and 203bhp 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engines. A six-speed manual and a six-speed torque-converter automatic are expected, with four-wheel drive likely to be offered as well. Once launched, the Scorpio Lifestyler will take on established lifestyle pickups such as the Toyota Hilux and Isuzu D-Max V-Cross.Vision S to introduce Mahindra's NU_IQ platformMahindra's next important development will be the arrival of its NU_IQ architecture, with the production version of the Vision S expected to be the first vehicle based on it. The concept was presented in August 2025 as part of the company's Vision 2027 roadmap, which outlined the introduction of NU_IQ-based SUVs from 2027 onwards. The new architecture has been designed to accommodate different powertrain technologies, including petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric setups. The Vision S-based production model will be a sub-four-metre SUV positioned above the XUV 3XO.Testing of the upcoming SUV is already underway, with camouflaged prototypes spotted on several occasions. The sightings have indicated a relatively upright design, compact overhangs, flush-fitting door handles and a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. A panoramic sunroof is also expected. Inside, the SUV has been spotted with a two-spoke steering wheel similar to the XUV 7XO and a touchscreen unit resembling the 10.25-inch display offered in the Thar range.BE 07 to expand Mahindra's electric SUV rangeThe third identified product is the BE 07, which will become the second SUV under Mahindra's BE electric vehicle sub-brand, positioned above the BE 6. Its market introduction is expected by June 2027.The electric SUV will use the INGLO platform, which also forms the foundation for the BE 6, XEV 9e and XEV 9S. Mahindra could equip it with the same 59kWh and 79kWh battery options available in the BE 6, although final specifications are yet to be announced.Spy images of the BE 07 have offered an early look at its cabin, which is expected to feature a triple-screen dashboard layout. Other anticipated features include a glass roof with illuminated elements, multi-colour ambient lighting, a dashcam and Level 2 ADAS. The SUV is likely to offer seating for five occupants. In the Indian electric SUV market, the BE 07 will compete with the Tata Harrier EV, VinFast VF7 and BYD Atto 3.Beyond these three SUVs and pickups, Mahindra's roadmap includes two additional products scheduled to arrive within the same timeframe. One will be a new light commercial vehicle, while the other is expected to be a refresh of an existing model.Subscribe to Auto Today Magazine - Ends
