Vishal Mishra to hold concerts in Nepal and Assam, donate proceeds to flood relief

Singer Vishal Mishra has stepped up to support those affected by the devastating floods in Nepal and Assam. The singer announced that he will hold concerts in both regions and donate the entire proceeds towards flood relief efforts, promising that “every single penny” will go towards helping the affected people.Sharing an emotional note on Instagram, Vishal said he was deeply disturbed by the situation and wanted to do his bit to support those impacted by the floods.“My heart is heavy seeing what's happening, so I have made a decision. I will perform a concert in #Nepal and a concert in #Assam. Every single penny will go towards flood relief and the people affected. I give you my word. Announcement soon,” he wrote.Alongside the statement, he captioned the post, “Stay strong, will do whatever I can individually, Har Har Mahadev.” Vishal’s announcement was met with support from his industry colleagues. Rubina Dilaik called the gesture “Commendable”, while Celina Jaitly responded with a red heart emoji.The singer’s decision comes amid the devastating situation in Nepal, where floods, relentless rainfall and landslides have triggered a major humanitarian crisis. Several areas have been severely affected, while two lakes formed by landslides continue to threaten further destruction and displacement.The devastating flash floods that struck Nepal’s mountainous region along the Tibet border on August 26 have caused widespread destruction across the country. More than 600 people have died so far, while 2,426 remain missing, including 517 foreign nationals. The US State Department has also reported that 90 Americans are currently untraceable following the floods.
