Virginia shoppers save on school supplies, appliances with tax-free weekend in August

Virginia shoppers can save some extra cash this back-to-school season during the annual tax-free weekend on Aug. 7-9. For the three-day tax holiday, Virginia shoppers can buy school supplies, clothing, shoes, hurricane preparedness items and Energy Star and WaterSense-brand items with no added Virginia sales tax.
