VIRAL England fan Andy Milne has revealed that he was DETAINED by police at the World Cup final for a bizarre reason. However, he almost missed the match between Spain and Argentina completely after being stopped by police. Recalling the unusual situation on The Pezzadox Show recently, Milne explained: “I’ve been to eight previous World Cup finals and I’ve got my tickets for all of those World Cup finals. It means a lot to keep those. “I’ve also got a few other tickets. I’ve got a 1966 World Cup final ticket that’s signed by Geoff Hurst. “So this time, of course I want to keep my World Cup final ticket, but they’re all electronic so they won’t issue a paper ticket. “So I hatched a plan and I went to a ticket resolution centre. I told them that I’d lost my phone, is there anything I could do about it. They gave me a paper ticket. “I planned this in advance and I thought, when I get that, and I’ve got shorts, and it’s sweaty and everything out there, it’s going to get ruined. Most read in Sport CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS Milne was detained because of a book titled ‘A Beginner’s Guide To Breaking And Entering’ “So I decided to take a paperback book to put it inside to keep it nice and flat and pristine, which I did. “I’m going into the ground and security is high, Donald Trump is there, you’ve got police everywhere and loads of security guards. “You’ve got to put what’s in your pockets there and walk through the thing that goes beep. “So I walked in, put my paperback book down, and this policeman was saying: ‘What is that?’ “I said: ‘It’s a book,’ and he told the security guy: ‘Search it,’ so the security guy picked it up and rifled through it. “He said: ‘I’m searching it, it’s just a book.’ “He turned the book over and the title of the book is ‘A Beginner’s Guide To Breaking And Entering’ – it’s a novel, it’s fun it’s humorous, but the policeman suddenly flipped and goes: ‘Sir, you are being detained!’ “And I said: ‘But it’s just a book,’ and I went to pick it up… He says: ‘Leave that item alone!’ “Then he called over another policeman and the other policeman really started bellowing at me. “They took me to a holding area, they wouldn’t let me touch the book, I was not allowed to touch it at all. “I was there in that holding area for about 15 minutes with my book. Their superior officer came in, he said: ‘What’s the problem?’ “They pointed to the book. He picked up the book, had a look at it and just turned round to those two officers and said: ‘F***ing idiots.” “He put his arm around me, gave the book and walked me into the stadium apologising all the way.” Spain went on to beat Argentina 1-0 thanks to an extra-time goal from Ferran Torres to win the World Cup at the New York New Jersey Stadium.
