Violence I suffered: Himanshi Khurana hits back at Asim amid 'conversion' remark

Actor Himanshi Khurana has addressed her ex-boyfriend Asim Riaz’s recent claims about their relationship, issuing a detailed statement on X. Himanshi clarified that she never claimed there was a “forceful conversion” in their relationship and said the narrative was created by others. The actor said she has largely chosen to maintain dignity and silence while speaking about her personal life, but felt compelled to respond after her health struggles and experiences were questioned.“I never said "forceful conversion" was there. People and media set that narrative,” she wrote.However, Himanshi said she could no longer remain silent after facing what she described as insults and disrespect, particularly around her health and personal struggles. She added that if the discussion was going to revolve around proof, she was prepared to present her own evidence.“If we are going to talk about proofs, then let's talk about everything. I am prepared to share the facts and evidence (CCTV footages, recordings.. hope you remember that early morning of 27.11.23) surrounding the conversion-related matter and yes the violence i suffered,” the Bogg Boss 13 contestant wrote. Himanshi further made it clear that she did not want to protect Asim’s public image at the cost of staying silent about her own experiences. She claimed that she had repeatedly faced insults and disrespect and was now ready to put her side of the story forward.“If you want to tarnish my image, then Now, I am not someone who will continue covering up to protect your so-called image, or staying silent while I am repeatedly insulted and disrespected,” she wrote. Towards the end of her statement, Himanshi questioned why she should not be allowed to speak openly about her own experiences, particularly the lessons she has learnt from them.Asim Riaz denies claimsEarlier, Asim Riaz denied ever asking Himanshi to change her religion and said religion should not be dragged into personal disputes. He also accused her of using the issue to attract attention and urged her not to turn a sensitive subject into a source of public hostility.In a post on Instagram, he wrote, “I never asked anyone to change their religion. Not once. Matter of fact, I was the one who pushed you towards fitness. You've been in this shape only after meeting me, before that, everyone knew how you looked. So please, don't use religion as a weapon. It's a deeply sensitive subject, and turning something so personal into a reason for people to hate me is immature and only shows how low you're willing to go for attention."Asim also responded to the discussion around their careers and finances. He maintained that he had built his career independently and did not need anyone else to take credit for his success.
