Vikings officially sign Harrison Smith

Safety Harrison Smith agreed to a one-year deal to return to the Vikings over the weekend and he officially rejoined the team on Tuesday. The Vikings officially signed Smith to their 53-man roster. Tight end Ben Yurosek was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Smith’s deal for his fifteenth season with the Vikings is worth $12.25 million with a maximum value of $16.25 million. He was not with a team at any point this offseason and it’s unclear how soon he’ll be ready to jump back into his usual role in the defensive backfield. Yurosek had two catches for 14 yards in 12 games last season. He can be designated to return to active duty after missing four games.
