Vijay Sethupathi is all style and mass in Baththa poster, film release in October

Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming film with director Balaji Tharaneetharan has been titled Baththa. The first-look poster of the film, presented by Atlee, was unveiled on Wednesday, with Sethupathi sporting a retro look that hints at a period drama with the director’s trademark quirky touch.In the poster, Sethupathi is seen in a red designer shirt, sunglasses and a thick gold chain, with a cigarette completing his stylish look.Sharing the first-look poster, Atlee wrote, “K-town history la nadula konjam pakkatha skip pannama paatha (If you look closely without skipping pages of the history of K-Town),” a pun on Sethupathi and Balaji Tharaneetharan’s 2012 sleeper hit Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. He added that the reunion of the duo for the third time is set to be a “banger”.Atlee also confirmed the film’s release date, writing, “#Baththa will meet you on October 1st (sic).” Vijay Sethupathi, Balaji Tharaneetharan reuniteBaththa marks the third collaboration between Vijay Sethupathi and Balaji Tharaneetharan.
