Actor Vijay Deverakonda has no qualms about admitting that he’s possessive about his actor-wife Rashmika Mandanna. But for him, it isn’t about jealousy or keeping tabs on her. And, listening to this, fans are calling this the kind of possessiveness they can get behind.During a pre-release conversation with YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra while promoting their upcoming film Ranabaali, Vijay and Rashmika were asked about possessiveness in marriage. Rashmika laughed and said, “It’s a problem if he’s not.” Vijay had no hesitation in agreeing.“Of course I am. I am possessive about her career, her health, her happiness, her safety, the time, everything. It’s like everything about this person is important to me and if any of that is not happening, I feel like I need to help her a little,” he said. His answer clearly struck a chord with fans, who reacted in the comment section to explain why Vijay's version of possessiveness felt different to them.Fans have a lot to say about Vijay’s ‘possessive’ sideAnd, listening to this, fans are calling it the kind of possessiveness they can get behind. “Now I really get what possessiveness actually means,” one fan wrote. Another was ready to throw caution to the wind, saying, “Aaaahhhhhh please tell me this is all scripted, otherwise I’m gonna cry and decide to get married.”Vijay’s mention of Rashmika’s career also stood out. “I got heart attack when he said career ke liye, but ik Vijay, he is gentleman,” a fan commented. He said that if he starts to panic, it can be “a little silly” because life isn't linear and difficult phases are bound to happen.“There is nothing in life which doesn't go through ups and downs,” he said, adding that opposition and obstacles are expected and need to be solved.Rashmika Mandanna says I love you 10-15 times a dayThe couple have also spoken about the smaller things that keep their marriage going. In a separate conversation with podcaster Prakhar Gupta, Rashmika said people often stop making small efforts once they become comfortable with each other. He revealed that she tells him “I love you” 10 to 15 times a day and reminds him that he needs to verbalise his feelings too.His own thinking, he admitted, is that if he constantly feels love for someone, there isn't always a need to say it because “he knows”. Rashmika, however, seems to believe that sometimes saying it still matters. The couple are now preparing for the release of Ranabaali on October 16. It will be their first film together after marriage. They previously starred together in Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.- Ends
