A tragic road accident in Maharashtra’s Pune district has claimed the lives of two brothers after their motorcycle was run over by a speeding goods truck in Baramati. The incident occurred on the Supe–Chaufula Road in Supe village, and a video of the crash has surfaced, drawing widespread attention and shock across the area.The victims have been identified as Somnath Dattatray Thombre and Shubham Dattatray Thombre, residents of Shendegevada in Supe village. Both died on the spot after their two-wheeler came under the wheels of the truck.According to police and local reports, the brothers were returning home from a school in Morgaon on a motorcycle bearing registration number MH 42 E 1878.As they crossed Ahilyabai Chowk, the motorcycle reportedly lost balance while taking a turn and skidded on the road. At the same moment, a goods truck bearing registration number MH 10 CR 4199, travelling towards Morgaon, approached from behind and ran over the fallen motorcycle.The video of the incident, which has now circulated widely, captures the motorcycle slipping during the turn and falling onto the road.
