(Source: ITG)A major tragedy was narrowly averted on Wednesday after a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus crashed into the protective boundary wall of an agricultural well on the outskirts of Sundaragiri village, Karimnagar.The bus, which was travelling from Karimnagar to Husnabad, was carrying several passengers when the accident occurred. The vehicle veered off the road and rammed into the concrete-and-brick barrier surrounding a large, deep open well.SUDDEN STEERING FAILURE LED TO CRASHAccording to preliminary reports, the driver lost control of the bus following a sudden failure in the steering link rod mechanism. The vehicle then moved off the road and crashed into the well's protective wall.The impact caused the front portion of the bus to break through the barrier. The vehicle came to a halt at the brink of the open well, preventing it from plunging into the water below. PASSENGERS SUFFER MINOR INJURIESPassengers on board had a narrow escape. They sustained minor injuries and were left shocked by the crash.Local residents rushed to the spot and helped evacuate the passengers from the bus safely. Police and local authorities also arrived shortly afterwards, secured the area and made arrangements for the safe retrieval of the vehicle.
