How sickening, then, that Digwa — rightly serving a life sentence — will be allowed cosy inter-prison video calls to his own mum Kiran Kaur after she was herself jailed for being complicit in the killing by hiding the murder weapon. Her devious actions, before police arrived on the scene, helped Digwa’s foul pretence that he was the victim and contributed to officers wrongly arresting fatally-stabbed and totally innocent Henry, leaving him “dying terrified, alone and disbelieved”. It’s scant comfort to Henry’s family that Kaur is actually in jail, but even that could end pretty soon despite her getting a three-year sentence last month.
