‘Vetri Special Vegetables Kit’ priced at ₹100 launched in Erode ahead of Deepavali

Ananth Moghan on Thursday (November 5, 2026) inaugurated the sale of the ‘Vetri Special Vegetables Kit’, a package containing 10 varieties of vegetables and being sold at a subsidised price of ₹100, at the Consumer Cooperative Wholesale Stores functioning on the premises of the Corporation’s Central Bus Stand. They also distributed the kits to consumers.The initiative has been launched ahead of Deepavali on the directions of the Chief Minister to provide the public with vegetables required for daily cooking at affordable prices.Click here to check where you can get the Vetri Special Vegetables Kit across Tamil NaduThe kits will be sold at cooperative outlets for three days, from November 5 to 7, at the special price of ₹100.Each kit will contain 500 grams of big onions, 500 grams of tomatoes, 250 grams of brinjal, 250 grams of potatoes, 200 grams of carrots, 200 grams of beans, 100 grams of green chillies, 100 grams of lemons, 50 grams of ginger and one coconut weighing between 400 grams and 450 gramsg. The total weight of the package will be between 2.55 kg and 2.60 kg.The vegetables will be procured, graded, weighed hygienically and packed before being sold. The kits will be available during the regular working hours of cooperative outlets. To ensure that more consumers benefit from the scheme, each person will be allowed to purchase only one kit.Joint Registrar of Cooperative Societies P.
