Veteran guitar heroes Satriani, Vai turn near-lifelong connection into new band

Joe Satriani and Steve Vai learned to play guitar together as youths growing up on Long Island. Decades later they're revered guitar heroes on their own and in a variety of groups, and now they've formed their own SatchVai Band, which has so far released three songs and recorded an album for release later this year. Before that, however, duo plays Saturday, May 15, at MGM Northfield Park Racino.
