Venkatesh-Trivikram film AK 47 postponed indefinitely over technical concerns

Veteran Telugu actor Venkatesh and director Trivikram Srinivas’ much-anticipated collaboration Adarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 (AK 47) has been postponed yet again. The film was scheduled to release on October 9, but producer Naga Vamsi has now confirmed that the team has decided to push the release indefinitely, with a new date to be announced later.Speaking to the media on Monday, Naga Vamsi said the film has completed its work, but the team does not want to rush it into theatres before it reaches the technical standards they have in mind. He added that Venkatesh and Suresh Babu are currently abroad and that the new release date will be finalised after they return.“Venkatesh garu and Suresh Babu garu are abroad, and once they return to India, we will discuss it with them and announce the date,” Naga Vamsi said. Why has AK 47 been postponed?According to Naga Vamsi, there is no unfinished production work holding up the film. Instead, the makers want additional time to ensure that the final output meets their expectations. “The film has completed everything. But we want to make a good film, and the film has to do something technically. So, we decided not to hurry and want to take some more time before releasing it,” he said. The producer also acknowledged that the October 9 release date had been announced only three days before the latest postponement. However, he said circumstances surrounding the overseas release made it difficult for the team to stick to the date.“I agree that we confirmed October 9 three days ago. But because of the circumstances, there is no other option. We have to release the copy abroad on Monday, but that is not possible, so we decided to postpone it,” he said.Makers respond to social media criticism Naga Vamsi also addressed the discussion surrounding the promotional material released from Adarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 (AK 47). Some viewers had questioned the clarity and technical quality of the content released so far, and the producer said the team was taking those reactions into consideration.“There is a lot being discussed on social media about the clarity of the content that has been released so far. We want to make the film with high quality. We are seeing the comments on social media, and for that, we need some more time. We don’t want to compromise,” he said. The film’s teaser had already generated attention for its humour and dialogues, with Trivikram’s trademark writing style evident in the promotional material. No OTT issue, says producerNaga Vamsi also dismissed speculation that the postponement was linked to the film’s OTT deal. He said there was no problem with the digital streaming partners and that discussions over the new release date were already underway.“I am in touch with the OTT people, and there is no problem from their side. I am also discussing the release date with them. Once Venkatesh garu returns to India, we will announce the release date,” he said.Adarsha Kutumbam - AK 47 release dateThis is the second time Adarsha Kutumbam - AK 47 has been pushed. The film was initially expected to arrive in August before the makers announced October 9 as its release date. With that date now off the table, the Venkatesh-Trivikram film will remain without a confirmed release date until the team makes its next announcement.- Ends
