Vegas police badge numbers, names are public info

LAS VEGAS — The Nevada Supreme Court affirmed a court’s judgment in favor of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Citizen Review Board, which the Las Vegas Police Protective Association had sued to keep the former organization from publishing peace officers’ names and badge numbers on meeting notices, agendas and other documents. Nevada’s Open Meeting Law requires the board to post officer names on meeting notices and agendas.
