A 47-year-old woman and her son and daughter were found dead at their home in Gujarat's Vadodara, with police on Thursday recovering three suicide notes, citing financial transactions and a debt of around Rs 33 lakh. The victims have been identified as Aartiben Soni, her 24-year-old son Neelkanth Soni and her 22-year-old daughter Jenny Soni. Their bodies were found hanging at different locations inside their home.According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) GB Babhania, post-mortem examinations confirmed that the three died by hanging. However, the viscera samples have been sent for further examination, and the reports are awaited.Police recovered three separate suicide notes from the house. The notes mention financial transactions. Investigators found that the family had outstanding debt of around Rs 33 lakh, besides pending instalments on two cars. The family had also discussed selling their house to repay the loans, police said. The family had been running an Ayurvedic hospital, Japs Health Care, for around one-and-a-half to two years. The business was being managed by Aartiben and her two children following the death of her husband, Chetanbhai, who died of a heart attack about a year ago, according to police.Police are also investigating whether the deaths of several close family members in recent years had contributed to Aartiben's mental distress. Her mother, father, brother and husband had died. Police have sent the victims' mobile phones to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination.Further investigation is underway, with officers examining the suicide notes and other evidence to establish the circumstances surrounding the deaths.- Ends
