V for Vendetta Returning to Theaters in November, Thanks to Fathom

Remember, remember, the fifth of November — because that’s when the 2006 dystopian drama V for Vendetta will be returning to theaters in celebration of its 20th anniversary. Thanks to Fathom, tickets are now officially on sale for director James McTeigue’s adaptation of Alan Miller and David Lloyd’s seminal graphic novel, written for the screen by the Wachowskis. The movie stars Natalie Portman as Evey, a young woman who joins the masked vigilante V (Hugo Weaving) in revolting against the fascist government ruling England in the not-too-distant future. The cast also includes Stephen Rea, Stephen Fry, Tim Pigott-Smith, Rupert Graves, Roger Allam, Ben Miles, Sinéad Cusack, Imogen Poots, and Eddie Marsan. “The award-winning V for Vendetta graphic novel led to one of the most provocative films in the early 2000s. Twenty years later, V for Vendetta still asks the questions that matter: about freedom, identity, and who gets to speak up.
