Using AI Agents to Collaborate with Human Workers

Since the advent of agentic AI, many vendors have promised that the technology will lead to greater collaboration. While the claim has not always proven true, CRM and workflow automation platform provider Creatio is looking to turn that around. One of the core policies at Creatio is collaboration rather than replacement, said chief strategy officer Jason Olkowski on the latest episode of the Targeting AI podcast. He said that rather than trying to use agentic workflows to remove the human from the process, enterprises should use them strategically.“It’s not just looking to take agentic capability and just replace as much of your workforce as you can,” Olkowski said. “That is not the successful path forward. The successful path forward is looking for where you can really evolve these processes beyond just personal productivity.”He added that enterprises should focus on bringing agents to work alongside humans to improve parts of their workflows. Those tasks may involve activities like processing documents, which could be managed by an agent and approved by a human.Related:Foundation Launched to Standardize AI Payments“That just continues to free up people’s time to do more strategic activities or to focus if they’re in a go-to-market part of the organization,” Olkowski said.“The other thing that we see is that agents and agentic workflows are really good at drawing connections between disparate pieces of information and resources and kind of aggregating all this information together,” Olkowski continued. “So, it can find signals that perhaps your humans were even missing.”About the AuthorsNews Writer, AI BusinessEsther Shittu has covered AI technologies and industry trends since 2021.
