‘Useless’ dad roasted on live TV for not helping mum in awkward situation

To make matters worse, the whole awkward situation was broadcast on live TV. But how did we get here? Well, the unknown man was at a San Francisco Giants baseball game at Oracle Park when he was caught on camera. In the footage, a woman, presumably his partner and the mother of his child, was seen bringing food back for him while he waited in his seat. What captured people’s attention, however, was that she wasn’t just carrying tasty treats for her fella; it was that she also had a baby strapped to her chest. She’s got her hands full! He just stood there, and he didn’t cover himself in glory when he immediately started eating his food without taking the baby or offering his partner much help. The moment was noticed by the Giants’ commentators, who couldn’t resist poking fun at the oblivious man. ‘Holy smokes, Mike! Look at this,”said Duane Kuiper. ‘If there’s ever a true definition of a multitasking mother, that is the deal right there,’ replied Mike Krukow. ‘Did I just hear that guy say, ‘Did you forget something?’ Kuiper then joked. As the baseball game continued, Duane and Mike kept cutting back to the man, laughing in disbelief at the man’s behaviour and labelling the woman ‘mom of the year’. At least they all got some grub… (Picture: NBC Sports Bay Area) The clip, which was first shared on X, has now been viewed more than 41million times, and it’s divided people. There are those like Scorpionoshow on Reddit who found the clip funny and said they want to see ‘more men roasting useless other men.’ Lawdjesustheresafire added: ‘At a bare minimum take the food off her before she squeezes down the aisle.’ ‘I’ll judge him for at least not bothering to take the food from his partner so she can sit,’ agreed crackerfactorywheel. ‘It’s the bare minimum, and he didn’t bother.’ Others were far harsher, saying the man was a ‘loser’ and that the woman needs to dump him. That’s a tight squeeze (Picture: NBC Sports Bay Area) Still, some were willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt (after all, which of us hasn’t had a moment of selfishness) and said they hope he sees this and grows. ‘This is pretty good,’ wrote blenderblendingrdrgz. ‘It’s not too harsh a roast, and it leaves room for the guy to step up and grow.’ Others tried to say maybe she was coming back from a nappy change when she got the food, to which @ChicagoMike85 on X had some thoughts. ‘For anyone saying she was doing a diaper change, it’s ok,’ they wrote.
