USA: Soaring petrol prices in California

The war has triggered a global energy crisis, and its effects are increasingly being felt in the United States, even though the country has been more insulated from soaring prices than parts of Asia and Europe. With midterm elections approaching in November, rising fuel prices are becoming a growing political concern as Americans, long accustomed to relatively cheap gasoline, face increasing frustration at the pump.
