Recalling when he first discovered Indian food, he joked that it felt as though “the heavens opened” and God himself had invited him in because it was so delicious. He then launched into a hilarious list of Indian dishes that had won him over, describing pani puri as “little flavour bombs” exploding in his mouth and chicken vindaloo as a “lightning strike of deliciousness”. He also praised Gobi Manchurian, joking that cauliflower had no business being that good. Nathanson then compared the complexity of Indian food with what he described as simpler dishes elsewhere. He joked that while Indian food had “47 different spices” fighting for his taste buds, American food was offering things like garlic aioli as though that alone was enough to impress him.His newfound love for Indian cuisine had even changed his eating habits, he said. Despite describing himself as a “hardcore carnivore”, Nathanson said he had willingly started ordering vegetarian dishes after discovering Indian food. He ended the video by telling other cuisines to “do better”, while urging Indian food to “keep doing” what it was doing.Watch the video here:The video prompted Indian viewers to invite Nathanson to experience the cuisine in India itself, with many suggesting that what he had discovered so far was only a fraction of what the country had to offer. One commenter joked that if the US version of pani puri had impressed him this much, he would become a permanent resident once he tried the real thing in India. Another pointed out that even Indians had only scratched the surface of the variety Indian cuisine offered across the country.A third commenter simply urged him to visit India, saying he had “not seen anything” yet despite discovering the cuisine five years ago.- EndsPublished By: Yashna TalwarPublished On: Aug 27, 2026 14:02 IST
