US War Department death toll in Middle East operations hits 19 fatalities

According to official database updates cited by Sputnik, the revision accounts for one additional military fatality. The Department of War has not publicly disclosed the individual’s identity. Speaking on condition of anonymity, a US defense official told The Washington Post that the service member was a female officer. The official explained that she required urgent medical intervention after experiencing an in-flight emergency while en route to the Middle East, but resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.
