So the US is trying to mediate with the sides, with the goal of creating a unified proposal,” a US source told the outlet.Ukraine, US to discuss ceasefire and security guaranteesSteve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with US President Donald Trump on Thursday to present the latest US proposal and receive his input ahead of the Miami talks, a US official told Axios.Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Deputy National Security Advisor Mike Needham also attended the meeting.The Ukrainian delegation will include President Volodymyr Zelensky’s Chief of Staff Kyrylo Budanov, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, Servant of the People parliamentary faction leader Davyd Arakhamia, and First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya. Oleh Ivashchenko, head of Ukraine’s Intelligence Service (HUR), will also be present.
