US senator accuses Van Hollen Trump of profiting from war on Iran

US Senator Chris Van Hollen has accused Donald Trump of profiting from the war on Iran, describing it as "pure corruption". "Trump’s turned the White House into a pay-to-play casino. While prices are going up for Americans, things couldn’t be going better for his stock portfolio," he said in a post on X. "Trump continues to profit off Americans’ pain – including the senseless war he started in Iran. Pure corruption." Van Hollen also told MSNBC that the US president "pocketed over a billion dollars" since returning to office. "Clearly, you’ve got a president who’s profiting from the illegal war that he started, along with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu," the Democratic senator told MSNBC.
