US military says carrying out strikes against Iran US forces began launching additional strikes against multiple targets in Iran at 5:15 pm (21:15 GMT), US Central Command said in a post on X on Wednesday. "The strikes are in response to Iran’s unwarranted and continued aggression," the military said. Iran's state broadcaster IRIB reported that an explosion was heard in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.
