Halo leverages modern technologies According to Archer, Halo leverages technologies refined through nearly eight years of electric aircraft research and testing. The aircraft features a clean-sheet design and incorporates a series hybrid-electric powertrain alongside dual tiltrotors, enabling greater range, endurance and operational efficiency than conventional electric VTOL platforms.“Over the past eight years we’ve engineered, tested and scaled the technology this platform is built on. The powertrain, the batteries, the motors, the manufacturing,” said Adam Goldstein, Founder and CEO of Archer. “We partnered with Anduril to take all of that knowledge and build something new: a clean-sheet aircraft in a completely different class of range, speed and payload.
