US continues attacks on Iran, as regional tensions escalate

Good afternoon, and welcome to our live coverage: The US has carried out strikes against Iranian sites for the sixth day in a row, killing at least eight people, specifically targeting bridges, airports, and power facilities. Iran has vowed to keep retaliating. The commander of the Aerospace Force in Iran's Revolutionary Guards said on Friday that Tehran would not halt its attacks in the region until the US stopped striking Iran's southern coastline and the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian army has so far targeted a power and water plant in Kuwait, while Bahrain and Qatar said they had intercepted missiles. In Qatar, a child was injured by falling debris resulting from the missile interception, the interior ministry reported. Tensions have escalated elsewhere in the region. In Iraq's Kurdistan region, at least nine Kurdish rebels have been killed by strikes blamed on Tehran. Iran's military has vowed that the Strait of Hormuz will "never" return to its pre-war status, after US soldiers boarded a vessel in the Gulf of Oman to enforce its blockade.
