Live Blog Update| War on Iran 5 August 2026 18:39 BST The US Central Command (Centcom) said on Wednesday that it has redirected three more commercial vessels as part of continued enforcement of its blockade against Iran. In a post to X, Centcom said that 48 ships have been redirected, 2 disabled and 2 boaded since the blockade was introduced on 5 August. A U.S. Air Force F-16 fighter jet is refueled during a patrol over regional waters in the Middle East while the U.S. continues enforcement of the blockade against Iran.
