An urgent search has launched after Dougie went missing from the Hertfordshire town near the border of Greater London. Police said the last sighting of the boy was on Tuesday evening, and they are growing more concerned for his well-being. Dougie is described as being of short and stocky build with dark brown hair. He often wears gold jewellery. The force appeared to acknowledge the case of Noah Woods, a three-year-old non-verbal boy who went missing in Brantham, Suffolk, after running away from a relative. The 24-hour search for little Noah Woods concluded yesterday after a child’s body was found in a nearby pond in the village. Hertfordshire Police thanked people who had already shared Dougie’s appeal. It said: ‘We understand people are concerned and want to help, particularly in light of recent events. ‘Every missing person investigation is different and enquiries are tailored to the individual circumstances of each case. ‘We remain focused on finding Dougie and are grateful for the public’s continued support.’ The police said in an appeal posted on social media overnight: ‘We are appealing for the public’s help to trace a boy who has gone missing from Hoddesdon. ‘Dougie, aged 10, was last seen on the evening of Tuesday 15 September. ‘He is described as being of short and stocky build, with dark brown hair. He also often wears gold jewellery. ‘Officers are growing increasingly concerned for Dougie’s welfare.’ The force urged members of the public to share the appeal far and wide.
