The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) is bringing exporters, manufacturers, international buyers and business delegations together to deepen Uttar Pradesh’s links with global markets. At UPITS 2026, Hon’ble Industrial Development Minister, Shri Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ said India’s Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are creating fresh opportunities for the state’s exporters to expand their international footprint.UPITS connects UP’s local strengths with global opportunitiesAddressing the special business session ‘Leveraging India’s Free Trade Agreements for Global Business Growth’ on the third day of UPITS 2026, Nandi welcomed Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, who attended the session as chief guest. He highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s industrial ecosystem, infrastructure, policies and growing opportunities for trade and investment.Nandi said UPITS embodies the transformation of a “New Uttar Pradesh in a New India”. Launched in 2023, the trade show has grown into an international business platform, with the fourth edition drawing foreign buyers, exhibitors and participation from several countries.FTAs open markets for UP’s exporters and MSMEsThe minister said India’s FTAs and bilateral trade arrangements are giving exporters access to wider international markets, creating opportunities for Uttar Pradesh businesses to scale exports and integrate with global supply chains. He highlighted the state’s more than 10 million MSMEs, robust infrastructure, improving connectivity and large pool of young talent as key strengths supporting this expansion.He further emphasised that UPITS is helping products from ODOP, handicrafts, agriculture, food processing, textiles, leather and electronics connect directly with global buyers. Participation from countries such as Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Russia, Austria and Belarus highlights the trade fair’s growing international reach. Nandi said stronger global linkages for local manufacturers, artisans and entrepreneurs will support the vision of a Developed India.
