UP woman slips while boarding moving train, railway cop pulls her to safety

The woman was travelling from Motihari to Anand Vihar with her two daughters on the Amrit Bharat Express (train number 15567).According to GRP officials, the train had stopped at Gonda station when the woman got off briefly to collect some belongings. When the train received the signal to depart, she reportedly rushed towards it in an attempt to board the moving train.As the train began gathering speed, the woman lost her balance while trying to get back on board. She came dangerously close to falling into the gap between the moving train and the tracks. GRP CONSTABLE SPOTS WOMAN IN DANGERA GRP constable, Yogendra Singh, was deployed on duty on the platform when he noticed the woman losing her balance.Realising the imminent danger, Singh immediately moved towards her and pulled her away from the train and the tracks. His quick action prevented what could have been a major accident. The entire incident was captured on the station's CCTV cameras.GRP officials said the constable's alertness and prompt response saved the woman's life. People present at the station also praised him for his courage and quick thinking.OFFICER HONOURED FOR BRAVERYThe circle officer of GRP, Ashok Kumar Singh, praised the constable for acting swiftly when the woman was at risk of coming under the moving train.After senior officials were informed about the incident, Yogendra Singh was honoured for his courageous intervention.
