A video of the incident, reportedly recorded on August 6, has gone viral on social media.The viral video, reportedly from the Babhani area, shows the man being beaten, having his head shaved and being paraded through the village in a naked state. The accused also put a garland of shoes around his neck. The man was further allegedly tortured by tying stones to his private parts.The man's brother, Sarju Prasad, a resident of Ikdiri, filed a complaint with the police, alleging that the accused assaulted his brother. He also alleged that when family members tried to intervene, the accused assaulted them and threatened to kill them.According to the complaint, villagers intervened and rescued the man from the accused. He was in serious condition and was taken to a community health centre for treatment. After providing primary treatment, doctors referred him to the district hospital.
