University students create a treat using local pickles
OTSU, Japan >> A group led by students from Doshisha University are producing Naomoi, a wagashi (traditional Japanese confection) featuring hinonazuke pickles made from hinona, a turnip grown in Hino, Shiga prefecture, that has been a fixture in the town since the 14th century.
