The DreamWorks animated movie, which debuted in theaters on September 25, was directed by Puss in Boots: The Last Wish's Joel Crawford and Januel Mercado and follows two best friends (H.E.R. and Liza Soberano) who are transported to a mystical island that they must escape before they lose their memories. The movie is a critical smash hit, with Forgotten Island reviews earning it a Certified Fresh 94% from critics and a Verified Hot 95% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as a CinemaScore of A, making it the most acclaimed animated movie of the year so far. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has now unveiled the official digital release date for Forgotten Island. The movie will be available on video on demand platforms in just one week, on October 27. While its official streaming release date has not yet been revealed, it is still months away.
