United Airlines Cancels All Flights To 6 Destinations: See Full List Now

He is based near London, UK. United Airlines serves more destinations than any other scheduled passenger operator globally. Between November and next summer, OAG indicates that 395 airports will see the Star Alliance member. The most flights will continue to be from Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD), largely due to the staggering number of regional jet services. The joint-fewest flights will be to Nuuk, which is the capital of Greenland, and Adelaide, which is the capital of South Australia. Both destinations are relatively new to the airline's network and have time-limited seasonal operations. United is the only North American operator to both places. United Has Ended All Flights To These Places In 2026 In 2026, United stopped flying to the following six airports. Only one is international: Dakar, the capital of the West African nation of Senegal. Given the vast scale of United's domestic operation, like for the other major US carriers, this is perhaps unsurprising. However, it builds on the cessation of flights to Havana, Stockholm Arlanda, and Tenerife South in 2025, some of which have been discussed in detail. All airlines have route and airport churn, and United is no exception. For example, WestJet has recently stopped flying to 13 international destinations, while Air Canada no longer flies to six international markets. Each Canadian carrier has removed far more international destinations than domestic this year, which is directly influenced by the termination of services to Cuba. You might think that United's flights to the tourist-focused Nantucket and Yellowstone, in particular, will resume next year. However, no flights are scheduled through next year. Given they were ordinarily served from May or June and that United's schedule currently extends to the next September, it appears unlikely that they will return. This was amid the COVID-19 pandemic, when US airlines responded to travelers' keenness for outdoor destinations by adding more suitable places to their networks. The facility is located about two miles from the west entrance of the world-famous Yellowstone National Park. It is different than Yellowstone Regional Airport (COD), which is located about 135 miles east of WYS in Cody, Wyoming. DEN is 408 nautical miles (756 km) from WYS. When flights materialized in 2021, United Express flew up to three times daily; spare aircraft during the pandemic helped. However, as the world gradually returned to normality, the number of flights diminished greatly, from 238 departures in 2021 to just 34 to 36 in 2022/2023/2024. They jumped to 188 in 2025 and 219 in 2026. The load factor has always been poor. The US Department of Transportation (DOT) shows the result did not exceed 58.4% until 2025, which was, of course, painfully low. It was also substantially lower than for flights to COD (73.8-83.8% between 2021 and 2024). WYS's load factor jumped to 72.6% in 2026, but fell to 64.6% for May and June 2026. When the fare is adjusted for distance, WYS ranked 152nd for total revenue per available seat mile (TRASM) across United's 169 domestic routes from DEN in 2025. As it had low loads and a low TRASM, it is not surprising that no flights are scheduled for 2027. In contrast, COD ranked 67th, with that route scheduled and bookable for next year. United's Short-Term Experiment To West Africa Credit: United Airlines Covering 3,481 nautical miles (6,447 km) each way, United flew to Dakar for less than one year. The 203-seat 767-300ER was deployed on each of the three weekly services. The carrier coexisted with Delta Air Lines to Senegal, with that operator flying from New York JFK. United's 767s have been paid off and are well suited to such experimental routes, but that does not mean that they'll succeed. As predicted when the route was announced in October 2024, Dakar flights did not perform well. This was less to do with the fares and yields but more about the extent of the IAD traffic and because United flew on a year-round basis.
