The Syzran oil refinery was reportedly set ablaze in a new Ukrainian drone attack, less than a month after a previous strike forced the facility to halt processing. Ukrainian monitoring channels Supernova and Exilenova+ reported that drones struck the refinery in Russia’s Samara region on Tuesday. The refinery has an annual processing capacity of about 8.5 million tons of crude oil and produces approximately 800,000 tons of gasoline and 1.5 million tons of diesel fuel each year. Separately, drones targeted a Wildberries logistics hub in Russia’s Tver region overnight, regional governor Vitaly Korolev said. According to Korolev, debris from a drone partially damaged a wall of the 77,000-square-meter (19,000 acres) warehouse during what Russian authorities described as an interception attempt. No casualties were reported. The facility, located on the eastern outskirts of Tver in the Kalininsky district, suspended operations, and employees were evacuated. Footage published by the local Telegram channel Ostorozhno, Tver appeared to show people running away from the warehouse. The hub began operating in December 2025. The Tver incident followed reported attacks on Wildberries facilities in Chekhov in the Moscow region and Krasny Bor in the St. Petersburg region on Tuesday. Another company logistics center in Russia’s Vladimir region was attacked a day earlier. Kyiv Post publishes what the British publication wouldn’t. Russia’s defense ministry claimed its air defenses and electronic warfare systems intercepted or destroyed 320 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones between 8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. According to the ministry, drones were detected over 18 Russian regions, the Moscow area and Russian-occupied Crimea. The strikes are part of what appears to be a deliberate Ukrainian effort to disrupt Russia’s logistics infrastructure. Since July 18, Ukrainian drones have repeatedly targeted Wildberries warehouses across Russia. According to Data Insight, cited by The Moscow Times, strikes had reached between 1.21 million and 1.47 million square meters (300 to 360 acres) of warehouse space by Sunday, damaging up to 22% of the company’s publicly declared logistics network. Russian outlet Verstka put the figure even higher, estimating that more than 1.5 million square meters (370 acres) – roughly 27% of Wildberries’ warehouse capacity – has been damaged. At least 20 Wildberries facilities have reportedly been hit, including warehouses in Elektrostal, Krasnodar, Nevinnomyssk, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, and St. Petersburg. The company’s biggest loss remains its massive 250,000-square-meter (62-acre) logistics hub in Elektrostal outside Moscow, which was completely destroyed in an earlier Ukrainian strike.
