Ukrainian gymnast Taisiia Onofriichuk won the gold medal in the hoop exercise at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the women’s high jump at the 2026 European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, England, clearing 1.97 meters. Mahuchikh cleared 1.92 meters and 1.95 meters before securing the gold on her first attempt at 1.97 meters. Poland’s Maria Zhodzik and Montenegro’s Marija Vukovic took silver and bronze, respectively, with both athletes clearing 1.95 meters.
