Ukraine Strikes Russian S-400 Missile System, Radars, Shadow Fleet Vessels

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) struck three Russian surface-to-air missile systems, two radar stations, and three “shadow fleet” vessels during an operation overnight Aug. 8, USF Commander Robert “Magyar” Brovdi reported. In a Facebook update on Sunday morning, Brovdi detailed the extensive damage inflicted on Russian air defenses. Brovdi noted that earlier on Aug. 8, this specific S-400 had launched six missiles at Ukrainian territory. The drone barrage also struck a Tor missile system in Pudovyi and a Pantsir-S1 system in Yeysk. Furthermore, USF operators hit two radar stations in the Rostov region: a Podlet-K1 in Holovativka and a Kasta-2E2 in Latonovo. In addition to targeting mainland air defenses, the operation extended into the Black Sea, striking an oil tanker and two dry cargo ships belonging to Russia’s “shadow fleet.” Operation MoLoChKa’s maritime toll The overnight naval strikes are the latest in “Operation MoLoChKa,” a joint maritime drone campaign launched on July 6 by the USF and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to disrupt Russian logistics and fuel deliveries. Earlier this week, Brovdi reported that the campaign had already struck 218 vessels – 134 in the Sea of Azov and 84 in the Black Sea. On Aug. 6 and 7, the USF struck a total of 102 Russian targets deep behind enemy lines. These strikes focused heavily on military positions, logistics networks, and infrastructure supporting Moscow’s occupation forces. The targeted sites included eight Russian troop deployment areas, two fuel and ammunition depots, radar systems, and repeaters used to control Shahed attack drones.
