Ukraine Strikes Russian Refinery, Aircraft Plant and Ozon Facility in Massive Overnight Attack

The facility has an annual crude oil processing capacity of about 8.5 million tons and produces approximately 800,000 tons of gasoline and 1.5 million tons of diesel fuel annually.Following the attack, storage tanks containing petroleum products caught fire at the facility. The refinery was previously struck by drones on Aug. 4.Russian facilities reportedly hitIn the Rostov region, a massive missile attack resulted in “multiple impacts on the ground” and several fires, regional Governor Yuri Slyusar reported.According to Slyusar, two apartment buildings and three private homes, an educational institution, commercial buildings, agricultural warehouses, a grocery store and an Ozon logistics center were damaged.“Preliminary information indicates there are no fatalities or injuries,” Slyusar wrote. Exilenova+ also reported that the Beriev Taganrog Aviation Scientific-Technical Complex was among the targets of the missile strike. The Beriev TANTK aircraft plant in Taganrog is a key Russian aircraft repair and maintenance facility.
