Ukraine Strikes Russian Oil Sites 1,350 Km Away in Major Overnight Drone Attack

The SBU said the strike caused a fire in the facility’s tank farm.Local reports and footage circulating online also indicated that the oil installation had been attacked, although the full extent of the damage has not been independently established.Another strike targeted the Novospassky mini-refinery in Russia’s Ulyanovsk region, approximately 900 kilometers (560 miles) from Ukraine, according to the agency. A fire broke out in its storage area.The SBU also said it struck the “First Plant” mini-refinery in Russia’s Kaluga region.In Russian-occupied Crimea, Ukrainian drones targeted a Nebo-U long-range radar at the Belbek military airfield and a tank containing fuel and lubricants at the Saky military airfield, the agency said.However, the SBU did not disclose the types or number of drones used in the operation.According to the agency, the operation was conducted under instructions from President Volodymyr Zelensky to reduce Russia’s military and economic capacity to wage war against Ukraine.
