Ukraine Repels Russian Assaults Across 12 Frontline Axes on Tuesday

Russian forces carried out 216 combat clashes across the front line as of 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, with the heaviest fighting concentrated on the Pokrovsk axis. Russian forces also deployed 6,428 kamikaze drones and shelled populated areas, alongside Ukrainian positions 2,294 times. Pokrovsk axis bears the brunt of strikes Russian forces launched 23 attacks on the Pokrovsk axis, attempting to advance near the settlements of Toretske, Shakhove, Sofiivka, Chernihivka, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Rodynske, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, Kotlyne, Udachne and Novopidhorodne, with one clash still ongoing, the General Staff reported. The AFU eliminated 40 Russian soldiers and wounded six others in the area, while destroying two motor vehicles, three units of special equipment and one enemy drone control point. Four Russian artillery systems and one motor vehicle were damaged, with the AFU destroying or suppressing 340 drones of various types. Kostiantynivka and Sloviansk axes see heavy fighting The AFU repelled 18 Russian assaults on the Kostiantynivka axis near Ivanopillia, Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Novoselivka and Novopavlivka, the General Staff reported. On the Sloviansk axis, 17 Russian attempts to advance near Zakitne, Kryva Luka, Rai-Oleksandrivka, Pyskunivka and Ryznykivka were stopped, with one clash still underway at the time of the report. Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, Huliaipole and Orikhiv axes Two Russian assaults were recorded on the Kramatorsk axis near Nykyforivka and Markove. The AFU repelled two Russian attacks on the Oleksandrivske axis near Rybne and Piddubne. On the Huliaipole axis, Russian troops carried out 12 attacks near Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Rizdvianka, Rivne, Hirke, Zaliznychne, Staroukrainka, Charivne and Yehorivka. On the Orikhiv axis, the AFU repelled three Russian attacks near Bilohiria, Pavlivka and Plavni. No additional operations were recorded on the Prydniprovske axis, and the General Staff reported no significant changes elsewhere along the front.
