Zelensky also referenced the most recent overnight operations, noting strikes on the Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery – located approximately 1,000 kilometers from the front line – and a major logistics hub in the Samara region, as well as operations in the Black Sea. Additionally, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published confirmed damage assessments from an Aug. 20 strike on the Primorsko-Akhtarsk airfield in Russia’s Krasnodar region. According to the General Staff, follow-up analysis confirmed that the strike damaged a Russian “Niobi” radar station and 18 warehouse buildings used for storing UAVs. The attack on Ozon follows a sustained, month-long Ukrainian campaign targeting the logistics infrastructure of its main competitor, Wildberries. Since mid-July, at least 22 Wildberries warehouses have been hit, representing the loss of about 43% of the company’s total storage capacity and an estimated $918 million in goods destroyed in a single strike in Koledino on Aug. 16.
