UKMTO probes Gulf of Oman ‘incident’ after Centcom strike

Live Blog Update| War on Iran 11 October 2026 04:47 BST The ⁠UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said they received a report of an “incident involving a tanker and military forces” in the Gulf of Oman, hours after after the US Central Command (Centcom) said it disabled a vessel in the waterway. “Authorities are aware and relevant investigations remain ongoing,” UKMTO said. Centcom said on Saturday it had “disabled” a commercial cargo vessel in the Gulf of Oman after the vessel’s crew “ignored repeated warnings and attempted to run the ongoing naval blockade against Iran".
