UK high street chain giving away FREE school uniform and parents can get up to five pieces per child

A UK high street chain with over 250 stores is giving away thousands of free school uniform items. Parents can get up to five free items of clothing per child during the run-up to Back-to-School season. A number of Back-to-School essentials are on offer, including free tops, bottoms, jumpers, and cardigans, made up of good quality second-hand garments, and brand-new items from corporate donations. The scheme is part of the charity’s community initiative, with school uniform available in Salvation Army’s 250 stores. It hopes to help parents with the cost of living throughout the summer holidays, especially when sending children back to school. Gary Smith, director of mission at Salvation Army, said: “We want to ease the burden for families who have a big expense at this time of year.” A number of Salvation Army churches and community centres across the country are also hosting school uniform pop-up shops. Nicola Crawford, director of retail at Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd., said: “Supporting families and easing the cost of school uniforms is incredibly important to us.
