UK airport launches VERY different hotel that looks more like a holiday park

A NEW hotel has opened at Bristol Airport that couldn’t feel farther from a classic pre-flight stay. Each room is inside a former shipping container, it even has an orchard area and the airport is under a 10-minute walk away. There’s also a smart TV, WiFi, hairdryer, full length mirror, and towels are provided too. One woman who stayed inside a Nodpod described it as being “really cosy” thanks to its small, snug size. And unlike airport hotels, the pods have some outdoor space too, it even has an orchard area where some visitors have spotted wildlife, like rabbits and squirrels. Someone else who had stayed wrote in the comments: “I’ve stayed in this place, so convenient for Bristol airport, and it’s spotless.” On Tripadvisor, the Nodpods have 22 reviews with a high average rating of 4.5 out of 5. Lots praise the alternative accommodation for its convenience, others for their affordability. Most read in Travel One wrote: “Staying at nodpods has cut our pre-flight costs in half (we used to stay in a hotel in Bristol and paid for parking overnight) so we have more money to spend on holiday!” The pods can be booked for as little as £90 for one night for two people which works out to £45 each. At the Nodpods there is free parking at the pods, although it is caveated that this is for your stay there only – not for the duration of your holiday. While there isn’t a restaurant at pod site, The Airport Tavern is a three-minute walk away, and The George & Dragon is a five-minute drive. Bristol Airport recently submitted plans to expand with thousands more flights and long-haul journeys – so the NodPods would be a great option to stay before jetting off. Along with more passengers the terminal will be larger, there will be new shops, restaurants as well as an extended runway at the cost of £500million. The proposal revealed the airport had plans to reach “world cities within Europe and beyond”. This includes a limited number of new flights to North America, the Middle East and Asia. Comment now
