UAE takes immediate action against Iran after detecting 2 missiles launched towards it

The UAE has decided to suspend all trade, financial, and commercial activities with Iran until further notice, citing regional escalation that Abu Dhabi asserts has undermined regional stability. This comes after the UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday evening that its air defense systems detected two ballistic missiles launched from Iran. The ministry said that the first missile landed outside the UAE’s territorial waters, while the second landed within its territorial waters. The Director of Strategic Communications at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Afra al-Hameli, affirmed that the UAE denies all allegations circulating regarding the nature of its economic relationship with Iran. She emphasized that the UAE remains committed to dialogue, cooperation, and regional integration, considering them fundamental pillars for establishing peace, promoting stability, and fostering prosperity in the region. Al-Hameli explained that the decision to suspend trade and financial transactions with Iran came in light of the regional escalation and its repercussions on security and stability, confirming that the decision will remain in effect until further notice. She emphasized that the UAE remains committed to preserving the integrity and stability of the international financial system, in accordance with international law and the highest global standards.
